The China Tea Trail

When I first arrived in China (more than 10 years ago now) I travelled extensively around the country. Over time, the stressful challenges of traveling around China by air, train or bus started to outweigh any enjoyment I got from experiencing new parts of the country. One of the unexpected benefits of my growing interest in Chinese tea is that it has re-awakened a desire to travel to the origins of the various Chinese teas. Not only do these locations tend to be beautiful in terms of natural surroundings, they tend not to have the mass of tourists that plague many spots in China. The downside of this lack of attention is that it is usually rather difficult to find reliable travel information when you want to visit these locations. The China Tea Trail is my personal diary as I explore the various Chinese mountains and their teas.
